We refer to Services and Facilities you provide to HM Government/Public Sector (all Contracting Bodies) via Reight. As you may be aware, Reight is subject to the provisions of the UK Bribery Act 2010.

The Bribery Act requires companies to have procedures in place designed to prevent bribery by persons who provide services for/or on their behalf (so-called associated persons). Failure to have such procedures in place can result in severe criminal penalties. As you provide the services to us on this basis, you are one of the associated persons of Reight and HM Government/Public Sector.

We are attaching this notice to our Standard Terms and Conditions as one of the steps we are taking to fulfil our legal obligations under the Bribery Act. Reight and HM Government/Public Sector are committed to the prevention of bribery and to conducting business in a fair and ethical manner. We expect nothing less from those with whom we do business. We expect that:

  • You will not pay bribes of any form to any person while performing a service for, on acting on behalf of Reight or HM Government/Public Sector.

  • You will take all reasonable and proportionate steps to ensure that none of your officers, employees or agents pays bribes of any form to any person while performing a service or acting on behalf of Reight or HM Government/Public Sector.

  • You will notify us if you have reasonable grounds to believe that a bribe of any form has been made by any person to secure business or another advantage for Reight or HM Government/Public Sector For the avoidance of doubt, we consider that so-called ‘facilitation payments’ (payments made to public officials to secure or expedite the performance of routine actions) are bribes.
